An iconic SoCal landmark, The Donut Hole bakery, is now safe for business. Following a history of crashes, and a lack of clarity about which side of the hole is the entrance and which is the exit, new remodeling and signage have been unveiled.
The building now features donut arm bands for both increased night and day time visibility, helmets for both ends of the building, clearer signs, and tire spikes to highly discourage wrong way entry. Bakery staff have also been given an extensive course in safety education. Here at Building Safety Awareness we give the new safety features 5 stars, and applaud the remarkable improvements over the previously hazardous condition.
Now we can all rest assured that this precious and unique example of programmatic architecture will be safe for future drive through donut consuming patrons to enjoy. Try the chocolate chip topped chocolate bar donut, they’re great!
